Chakra, the energy centers

We all live in a house, our house is the best place for us to live. Isn’t it? But sometimes we just don’t feel to come back to ur own house after a long and hectic day of our job.

Why so? Our house should be the best place to live, that’s why it’s called shelter.

Let’s try and understand. We look at our house as four walls, windows, doors, floor, ceiling, garden etc. Isn’t it. All these remain same every day, still we long for it some day and just hate that same cozy space some day. And important thing is that we again feel to go to the same house again after some time.

What’s changing in the house? Stucturaly it’s the same good old space.

Okay, now comes some vastu consultant and ask you to do few changes here and there, and, Wow! You feel good. What’s the catch. He or she has just made a few changes which helped the air within your house which is totally invisible to you, move easily, smoothly , without any obstacles.

Now imagine this house as your body and air which is invisible as the energy flowing through your body. If this air flows smoothly , your house becomes your home sweet home and if it doesn’t move smoothly then the same house feels like a shelter home, isn’t it?

So there is an arrangement of various channels and power station, some major , some minor, in our body which regulate energy flow in our body.

These channels are known as Nadi and the power stations as Chakra.

These are described in Indian ancient scripture called Vedas , about 6000 BC old writings.

Chakra in sanskrit language literally means Wheel. These energy centers are like wheel, actually clarivoyents see them as conical structure revolving clockwise and anticlockwise. About 114 chakras are described, there may be more. But the main major 7 chakras are situated along the spinal cord of our physical body, which is described as Sthool shareer, which we can see. The Chakras and Nadi system is a part of Sookshm shareer, which we can’t see but feel.

Nadis are various energy channels which connect various Chakras. About 72000 nadis are described. They are decided into three subgroups. The central Shshumna. Left Ida and right Pingala.

I will discuss in details about Chakras and Nadis in my next blog.

To understand basic questions like Who am I and why am I here and what is my purpose of life? in a most fun way in the form of a thrilling story, which I call a spiritual thriller through my novel called “Yours Spiritually” which is available on Amazon and Flipkart , published by Notion Press.
